Anyone who seriously calls themself an audiophile doesn’t deserve Apple anyway. They can take their pick from lower quality brands. //@anonymous: Grado GW100 offer better sound quality and are much less expensive. Audiophiles will not touch Apple with a ten foot pole.

The main catch of Grado is it’s really uncomfortable… as a wireless headphone sound quality doesn’t really matter that much, comfort is king. Apple sound quality is at least better than Beats but it’s indeed overpriced.

My local Costco still has the same but with RTX 3060 (12GB) and i7-12700, 16GB RAM, 512 SSD + 1T HDD, for $799.99. Is it a better deal for the $100 difference?

i7 is about 60% faster and cost $100+ more.
8GB of RAM cost $20 more (and you definitely want to add)
3060 is about 30% faster and usually costs $60 more.

Actually, the cellular signals are for accessing the map (and live traffic conditions) only. Most of cell phones currently have the GPS receiver on device and can receive GPS/location signals from different Satellites. You can pre-download the map into your cell phone device when you are in the hotel (restaurant, store, or home) with internet access. Then, you can use the pre-downloaded map on your phone as the GPS device on the road even if there are no cellular signals on the road. //@Anonymous: This device is still useful when no cellular signals and your car has no builtin GPS.
